Isaiah James Carrera, infant son of Alison Carerra, passed peacefully from his mother’s arms into the arms of Jesus on February 15, 2025

Arriving early and on their own schedule, Isaiah James and his older twin brother Isaac changed all of our lives on January 27, 2025. Isaiahs time with us was short, but his impact will last forever. He enjoyed being the center of his entire family’s world and was surrounded by love and affection every day of his life. Isaiah was a professional snuggler, and all of his caregivers and family noted his calm disposition.

Isaiah leaves to cherish his memory – his loving mother, Alison Le Carrera. Twin brother, Isaac Lee, and older brothers Dominic Jae and Kingston Lamont Williams. His adoring grandparents -Victor and Lavonna Hamilton of Smithville and Patricia Youree of Lavergne. Great Grandfather Billy Ray Dixon of Smithville.

Doting aunts and uncle- Tammy Hamilton, Kristina Randolph Gater, and Sarah Randolph (Kesha Turner) all of Smithville, along with Victoria (Chris) Poe of Tullahoma.

Isaiah is survived by a dozen cousins, and so many additional loving family members and friends that we have actually lost count. His time on Earth was much too short, but we are so thankful for every minute we were given. We would have kept Isaiah forever if we could, but God needed him in Heaven more.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Zoller, Dr. Columbo, and all of the pediatric cardiology team at Vanderbilt for their tireless dedication to making Isaiah’s life the best quality it could be. We would like to thank Vanderbilt Children’s NICU for the amazing care we received, and the social workers, child life specialists, and chaplains that supported us every step of the way.

In honor of Isaiah’s short but impactful life, we ask that you please take a moment to educate yourself on Congenital Heart Defects and the foundations that support research, as CHD has deeply impacted our family and so many others.

Funeral services will be 5 PM Monday, February 17, 2025 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Michael Hale officiating. Visitation will be Monday 4 PM until the time of the service at 5 PM.

DeKalb Funeral Chapel is honored to care for the Carrera family.
