Want more for your family? Empower Upper Cumberland is a FREE grant-funded program for families with children. If you receive Free or Reduced Lunch at school, are receiving SNAP or TennCare, or make less than 185% of the Federal Poverty Guideline then you may be eligible for this program. You do not have to be receiving government benefits to qualify. Empower UC is enrolling families continuously and has funding to help working families get more out of life to become more prosperous. Some ways we might empower families are: Help with finding & keeping employment (and higher paying employment), transportation to/from work, support services, healthcare costs, finding childcare or helping with costs, higher education pathways, financial counseling, credit recovery and much more. We work around your schedule so you don’t have to take time away from your job or school. It only takes 5 minutes to apply and there is nothing to upload.
